Why it stayed
Silence is rarely empty. What a person avoids saying can shape the room more strongly than the words they finally choose.

A plan can become a socially acceptable way to ask for reassurance. Logistics gave the group somewhere to place the fear they could not name.

The ritual of recording a moment can quietly outrank the person sharing it. Proof of being present replaces the act of paying attention.
